Some new game mechanics and graphical features
Hello :)
Yesterday I started redesigning the 5th level of Skeli. I made mushrooms on the trees that act as jumping/bouncing pads. The player can jump on them and bounce off them to get to high places. The longer he stays on top the higher he can get, but each mushroom can have its own maximum height limited to a certain value. Also each mushroom have its own 'bounce force' so it may take some time to reach maximum height.
Mushrooms are part of the mystical forest. Why is there a forest inside the castle/dungeon, You may ask.... Well, it's there because I just felt like doing it.... Ohhh, come on! It's fantasy game ;P I can do whatever I want ;).
I've also added some graphical enhancements such as swarms of fireflies, fog and swaying grass, but I still need to draw some background for the forest part. I don't have an idea how it will look yet, but I know I want it to be as magical as it is dark :)
